Selected work

Real brands.
Real movement.

Tourism, education, consumer products and market entry — each project starts with understanding the audience and ends with a story they can act on.

Kazakh Tourism—Brand Strategy + Creative
The challenge

Position Kazakhstan for international travellers without relying on clichés, while aligning a national destination story with senior public-sector stakeholders.

The approach & proof

In collaboration with Media Gurus Inc., I helped shape the national tourism brand concept and strategic narrative, then translated it into the script for the international promotional video “Where Are We Flying?”. The film carried the positioning into a clear, memorable story for global audiences.

Teach for Qazaqstan—Brand Strategy
The challenge

Help an established international education movement enter Kazakhstan with communication grounded in local audience realities rather than simply translating a global message.

The approach & proof

I conducted qualitative research across the international network, including interviews with participants from Bangladesh, Russia and London, and translated those findings into actionable audience insights and a locally relevant communication strategy.

Esil University—Rebranding + Brand Strategy
The challenge

Refresh perception of the former KazUEFMT and create a clearer, more contemporary platform for communicating the university’s relevance to different audiences.

The approach & proof

I led market research, competitor analysis and international benchmarking, then developed the brand platform, naming directions, slogans, audience segmentation, tailored key messages and guidance for social-media communication.

TROYA / volson.kz—New Brand + Market Growth
The challenge

Build a new office and educational furniture brand for Kazakhstan’s major markets while creating a strategic foundation strong enough to support future export ambitions.

The approach & proof

I researched the market landscape, competitors and customer touchpoints, then developed the brand platform, naming directions and slogans. The visual identity was created in collaboration with Appazov Branding Agency.

My approach

From insight
to cultural impact.

Strategy, storytelling and creative execution are connected. I move from research and evidence to a clear position, then translate that position into language, content and experiences people can recognize.

About

A global perspective.
A local understanding.

I'm Dina — a brand strategist, creative copywriter and content producer with 10+ years in media, communications and international projects. I started in journalism and built my practice around one question: what makes people care?

My work combines research, cultural context, positioning, storytelling and presentation — especially when a brand is entering a new market or needs a clearer reason to be chosen.

and what's next.

Short notes on brand strategy, market entry and the work of making brands meaningful in context.

Destination brands

Why places need a narrative, not a list of attractions

A memorable frame changes how every subsequent detail is understood.

Market entry

From local to global: lessons for Kazakhstan brands

Localization begins with relevance, not translation.

Brand building

The power of purposeful events

Experiences work best when they create meaning people can take away.
